Literary Oracle (ISSN: 2348-4772): Special Issue on The Waste Land and its Influences on World Literature
2022 marks one hundred years of publication of T.S. Eliot's The Waste Land. Literary oracle is committed to celebrate great moments in literature that created new modes of writing and new normals in the literary canon. The publication of The Waste Land in 1922 did indeed change modernist literature to new modes of being and has largely influenced world literature. The Waste Land has seen translations and adaptations by major and minor writers across the globe. Literary Oracle invites unpublished articles in this area for its special issue to be published in May 2022. Apart from articles on The Waste Land and in areas related to it well researched papers of general interest are also solicited.
Book Reviews: Fiction, Non-fiction and Poetry are solicited and will be accepted with a copy of the book reviewed addressed to the editor.
Literary Oracle accepts only original research papers pertaining to literature, language and culture, Book Reviews and original interviews with noted literary and social personalities with similarity index less than 10% twice a year; March 31st for the May issue and October 31st for the December Issue.
No charges are levied for Publication. Pdf version of the journal will be sent to each contributor and will also be available on the journal website.
Annual Subscription of the journal is 1200 INR ($ 50) for individuals and 2000 INR ($ 80) for institutions which will entitle the subscribers to TWO issues of the journal (print) of that year.
Format for final submission of articles:
All contributors should strictly follow the guidelines in the 9th edition of MLA Handbook while formatting their articles. The contributors are requested to include the following while formatting their submissions:
1. Full Title of the paper in Times New Roman font, size 14, Bold.[Name of the author/s and affiliation should not written in the Research Paper/Book Review
2. Name and affiliation of the author/s, title of the paper, along with a declaration that the work is original and that the author will be solely responsible for any controversy arising thereof. That the submission has not been made to any other journal simultaneously [SEPARATE WORD FILE]
3. An abstract of the article in about 200 words with 4/5 keywords along with the Research Paper
4. The Body of the Research article should be neatly structured with an introduction and a conclusion. The conclusion should summarize the findings and the thesis proposed in the article.
5. The type and font in the main body of the article should be in Times New Roman, size 12, justified and Single line spaced.
6. Research Articles and Book Reviews should ideally be written within 2500-3500 words (excluding references and works cited). Research articles/papers must contain Works Cited at the end of the article. No footnotes please.
7. Quotations in languages other than English should be translated and provided at the end of the article as Notes.
8. Articles with grammatical errors will be liable for rejection.
