Dear colleagues,

I would like to extend an invitation to you to submit your manuscripts to the International Journal of Insect Science (IJIS) when considering a journal in which to quickly publish your important work in a timely manner. We encourage those working in any of the diverse areas of entomological research to consider submitting original manuscripts or reviews.

Launched earlier this year, IJIS encourages submission on a broad range of entomological topics including insect social behavior, development, ecology, evolution, genetics, morphology, plant-insect interactions (including pollination), physiology, reproduction, systematics and relationships with the environment, including invasion biology.

IJIS’ editorial board represents high quality, dedicated, international professionals who apply a fair and timely, yet stringent peer-review process to aid authors in publishing valuable information that will be available to a wide audience through the journal’s open-access format. IJIS international editorial board represents the countries of Mexico, Japan, Canada, Colombia, Italy, the Netherlands, China and the United States.

We welcome any manuscript describing original work or reviews on rapidly expanding fields of entomology. Please take time to consider whether this might be an appropriate venue for submission of your next manuscript or one of those of your colleagues.

What a previous author said:

"The publishing process of this journal was a most pleasant and productive experience. I was particularly impressed with the regular updates of the progress of my submission. Many other journals receive a submission and authors may not hear anything for months. I appreciate your notification policy."

In summary:

The advantages of a younger journal such as International Journal of Insect Science are numerous but in essence allow us a greater flexibility and responsiveness to authors and readers that older journals cannot match.

Timing and deadlines:

Submissions are welcomed at any time. Papers are published on an on-going basis.
