The Symposium on Data Mining Applications (SDMA 2018) is aimed to gather researchers and Applications developers from a wide
range of Data Mining related areas such as statistics, computational intelligence, pattern recognition, databases, Big Data
and Visualization. The Symposium will provide opportunities for technical collaboration among data mining and machine learning
researchers in Saudi Arabia, GCC countries and Middle-East region. Acceptance will be based primarily on originality,
significance and quality of contribution.

Topics of Interest (SDMA2018)
Applications: Applications of data mining in domains including Parallel and advanced Databases, Social Networks, Web, Bioinformatics, Finance, Healthcare, Security.
Algorithms: Data Mining and Machine Learning Foundations, algorithms, models, and theory.
Text Mining: Semantic Analysis and Mining text in Arabic, semi-structured, spatio-temporal, streaming, graph, web, multimedia data .
Framework: Data mining frameworks, platforms and systems implementation.
Visualizations: Data visualization, modeling and recommendation.

Submission of Manuscript:
Authors are invited to submit full-length manuscript using the submission Link provided on EDAS at
https://edas.info/newPaper.php?c=23398.
The maximum length of manuscript is 16 pages with single column format including headers, figures,
tables and appendices. All submissions would undergo single blind review process prior to acceptance
for publication in Symposium proceedings.

Accepted & presented papers will be published in the SDMA 2018 proceedings & submitted to Springer Advances
in Intelligent Systems and Computing Series. Springer AISC is indexed in ISI Proceedings, EI-Compendex, DBLP,
SCOPUS, Google Scholar and Springerlink.

Author Registration
Authors are required to Register and present their paper in the event. Paper not presented would be removed
from the proceedings. Each registration for up to two papers per author will cost $100. For each additional
page over the limit of 16 pages, $25 would be charged.
