X International Conference on Articulated Motion and Deformable Objects

AMDO 2018

Computer Graphics Computer Vision & Pattern Recognition Human Computer Interaction

The Mathematics and Computer Science Department of the UIB and the Spanish Association for Pattern Recognition and Image Analysis (AERFAI) are organising the tenth international conference AMDO 2018 that will take place in Palma de Mallorca. The goal of this conference is to promote interaction and collaboration among researchers working in the areas covered by the conference. A study of the human body using computer technologies as the main tool is the unifying theme of the conference. The role of new perceptual user interfaces and the emerging technologies in strengthening the link between the research areas involved in human-computer interaction will be of particular interest.
The AMDO 2018 conference offers a great opportunity to encourage collaboration between researchers in the areas of computer vision, computer graphics, advanced multimedia applications and human multimodal interfaces that share common problems and frequently use similar techniques or tools. Our main focus in this edition is on the use of deep learning methods in the context of AMDO. AMDO 2018 will consist of plenary sessions (both regular and invited presentations), a poster session and tutorials.
The conference fee includes a social program (proceedings, coffee breaks, and cultural activities). Students and AERFAI members can register at a reduced rate.
TOPICS INCLUDE (but are not restricted to:)
Advanced Computer Graphics and Immersive Videogames, Human Modelling & Animation, Human Motion Analysis & Tracking, 3D Human Reconstruction & Recognition, Multimodal User Interaction & Applications, Ubiquitous & Social Computing, Design Tools, Input Technology, Programming User Interfaces, 3D Medical Deformable Models & Visualization. Deep Learning Techniques for Computer Graphics and Vision Applications.
PAPER SUBMISSION AND REVIEW PROCES
Papers should describe original and unpublished work on the above or closely related topics. All submissions will be made in pdf format. Papers are limited to ten pages, in the LNCS format, and should include the title, a 150-word abstract, keywords and the main body.
All submitted papers will be subjected to a blind review by at least two members of the program committee. It is the responsibility of the authors to ensure anonymity (no names and affiliation) of their submission. Please submit your paper electronically at our website using the software provided. The AMDO2018 secretariat must receive your paper before March 19th, 2018, 17:00 GMT (London time). The accepted papers will be published in a LNCS Springer-Verlag series volume.
Submission implies the willingness of at least one of the authors of accepted papers to register for the conference at the full registration rate, and to present their communication at the conference. For more details and news, visit our web page.
