Session description:
This special session deals with the new advancesin medical image processing and analysing from single or multimodality systems, and focuses on the new challenges in the fields of biomedical research and clinical practice.
The goal is to provide an overview of advanced medical image processing theories/algorithms/systems/solutions and technologies. The topics include, but are not limited to
The topics of interest include, but are not limitedto:
• medical imaging (CT, PET, MRI, SPECT, Ultrasound, etc.)
• biological imaging (optical imaging, molecular imaging, microscopy, hyperspectral imaging, etc.)
• medical image processing and analysis
• Image reconstruction
• Computer-aided diagnosis systems
• image–guided therapy
• treatment monitoring and planning
• 2D and 3D modelling
