Dear Colleagues,

It is our great pleasure to announce the next edition of the International Conference on Industrial Engineering and Systems Management (IESM) that will be held in Saarbrücken, Germany on October 11-13, 2017. The main theme of this edition is “Industry and Logistics 4.0: Trends, Benefits, and Challenges for Industrial Growth”.
IESM 2017 will be one of the major events in Industrial Engineering, Systems Management and Production-Service Management of the second half of 2017. It will be hosted by the Saarland University of Applied Sciences (htw saar) and will be co-chaired by Prof. Thomas Bousonville and Prof. Teresa Melo from htw saar, Germany together with Prof. Nidhal Rezg from University of Lorraine, France. The International Scientific Committee will be chaired by Prof. Alexandre Dolgui, Ecole des Mines de Nantes, France, and co-chaired by Prof. Le Thi Hoai An, University of Lorraine, France.

IESM is a well-establish international conference in Industrial Engineering. It has been held every two years since its creation in 2005 when it replaced and extended the scope of the former IEPM (Industrial Engineering and Production Management) conference launched in 1993.

The conference agenda has been planned as follows:
) Deadline for special session proposals: Jan 31, 2017
) Deadline for full paper submission: Mar 31, 2017
) Notification of paper acceptance: May 31, 2017
) Registration opening: Jun 1, 2017
) End of early bird registration: Jun 30, 2017
) Final paper submission and copyright form: Aug 31, 2017
) Conference: Oct 11-13, 2017

The conference will feature three prestigious keynote speakers (including two from industry), invited special sessions, and prizes for best student conference papers. Selection of best papers for special issues of leading indexed scientific journals related to the conference topics is planned.
