Special Issue on
Medical Data Stream Processing: Bringing Together Efficient Analysis, Feature Identification & Pattern Classification
CALL FOR PAPERS
Medical Data Stream Processing is the technique and process dealing with continuous, and possibly infinite,
flows of data for clinical analysis and medical intervention.Particular topics to address include data stream
storage, transmission, and real-time monitoring of changes and recurrences of patterns in medical domains etc.
The covered data sets can be (but are not limited to) electroencephalograph (EEG), Electrocardiograph (ECG)
and physiological data. The main issue is that this data production often takes the form of high speed
continuous flows of data such as EEG signals or the physiological data collected from intensive care units
(ICU). This call for papers isto bring together researchers in medical data stream processing to contribute
their original research articles or review articles that will stimulate and support the study of medical
data stream.
Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
- Processing (storing, transferring and analysing)anatomical/physiological data streams
- Processing and managing data streams for healthcare
- Integrated health information data streams
- Adaptive health information systems
- Mobile and ubiquitous medical data streams
- Remote monitoring of patients in hospital and ambulatory settings
- Process mining from medical data streams
- Real-time and real-world applications using streaming medical data
- Knowledge discovery from medical data streams
