Call for Book Chapters
To be published in “Data Science: Theory, Analysis, and Applications” book – CRC Press, Taylor and Francis, 2019
Abstracts due (1-2 pages) : 31 October 2018
A new edited book is intended to be released in 2019 by CRC Press. Prospective authors are solicited to send first abstracts of 1 or 2 pages describing the scope and outline of their chapters. Authors of selected chapters will be invited next to submit full chapters.
The aim of this book is to provide an internationally respected collection of scientific research of technologies and applications in data science. Special emphasis is to be put on tutorial style of chapters concerning the development process of data mining, information retrieval, data analysis and intelligence creation, thus revisiting the difficult issue of knowledge engineering of such systems.
The edited book would be organized in three parts. Each part will consist of a set of chapters focusing the respective topic outline in order to provide readers an in-depth understanding of concept and technology related to that area.
The book is to be structured as follows:
Part 1: Data Science: Theory, Concepts, and Algorithms
• Decision Trees/Rule Learners
• Reinforcement Learning
• Artificial Neural Networks, Deep Learning
• Support Vector Machines
• Bayesian models and Clustering
• Genetic algorithms
• Data Representation and Visualization
• Data Mining
• Novel Data Models
• Privacy and protection standards and policies for Data Science
• Mathematical Issues in Data Science and Applications
Part 2: Data Design and Analysis
• Evaluation and Measurement in Data Science
• Big Data Analytics
• Big Data Technologies
• Data Optimization Algorithms
• Graph/Network/Social Mining
• Computational Intelligence
• Creative Computing
• High performance computing for data analytic
Part 3: Applications and New Trends in Data Science
• Robotics
• Data science for Internet of things (IoT)
• Business Analytics
• Bioinformatics
• Information Analytics
• Marketing Analytics
• Operations Analytics
• Text and Sentiment analysis
• Healthcare Analytics
• Case studies
Submission Details
Each manuscript must be written in a tutorial style of chapters with expected manuscript length between 10,000 to 12,500 words. Manuscripts submitted for the book must be original, must not be previously published or currently under review anywhere. Please follow A4 page format, single column with 11 point Times New Roman font with 1.5 line spacing while submitting your manuscript as MS-Office document. Use the number referencing style as usually used for regular research papers, NOT the APA style. That means, mention the reference numbers within the texts and in the references section, mention with sequential numbers; [1], [2], [3]….
