28th International Conference on Information Systems Development

ISD 2019

Security & Trust & Testing

We are delighted to invite you to submit a communication for the 28th International Conference on Information Systems Development on the theme: "Information Systems Beyond 2020". The ISD2019 will take place at the Higher Institute for Electronics and Digital Training in Toulon, France, on August 28-30, 2019. We call for communication proposals that aim to identify, investigate and reflect on key research and practical topics related to the main theme of ISD2019. Our interest is on attracting papers that are relevant academically but also contribute to enhance the information systems practice.
Focus and theme
Phenomenal increase in computational power and IT development led to unprecedent increases in productivity and contributed to welfare increase in the capitalist economies over the last 40 decades. Hyper-connectivity has changed our day-to-day work and leisure practices; created new economic activities; and has transformed production, distribution and consumption in many sectors. However, the positive impact of hyper-connectivity is stained with online disinformation phenomenon, cyber-security risks, threats to privacy and personal liberties, data concentration in hands of a few number of technological companies. Other, global, challenges have not been in the focus of technology design and development, for example, environmental change, development, migration. The 28th conference edition provides momentum for the ISD community to self-reflect on where the IS research stands now and where it could go in the next decade to play a pivotal role in tackling global challenges in the next decade.
