World Engineering Forum 2017 Safeguarding Humankind Heritage, The Great Challenge For Engineers

WEF 2017

Environmental & Geological Engineering Environmental Sciences

The importance of Engineering in the society and the interest in sustainable development are growing year by year. From the perspective of “Safeguarding Humankind’s Heritage”, WEF2017 will focus on both topics.
Engineers from all over the world will gather in Rome, for the event WEF2017 from 27 November to 2 December 2017. The programming committee of WEF2017 would like to invite engineers, researchers and other professionals from around the world to submit their abstracts for the purpose of sharing their knowledge, experiences and successful research under the banner of “Safeguarding Humankind’s Heritage, the Great Challenge for Engineers”.
Engineering’s commitment is to help material wealth within a sustainable development perspective. Technological research and smart applications should support countries in safeguarding material, social and cultural heritage of each community of people.
WEF 2017 aims to analyse humankind’s heritage from different points of view, considering its conservation and preservation a great challenge for engineers and for society. Engineering should propose specific solutions to different opportunities and threats connected to the preservation of the common heritage of each country, including landscape, natural environment, climate and monumental heritage.
Call for abstracts should focus on 5 different topics:
Preserving the environment in a sustainable perspective
Engineering for climate change
Engineering to safeguarding humankind’s heritage (vs. natural disaster, wars, terrorist acts and others)
Information security for humankind’s heritage
New technologies to safeguard humankind’s heritage
New perspectives on safeguarding humankind’s heritage (focus on young engineers and women engineers)
The abstract must be a maximum of 1500 characters (including blanks / space characters) and must be written in English.
All abstracts will be reviewed, graded and accepted or rejected by the Scientific Committee. This reserves the right to determine whether a submission is accepted as an oral or poster presentation. Instructions for poster or oral presentations will be included in the notification of acceptance.
