Second International Workshop on QoS aware Future Communication Networks

QoS-FCNs 2017

Software Systems Theoretical Computer Science

The developments in the area of communication systems and wireless networks and their integration in different sectors successfully led to the emergence of the future communication networks (FCNs). The objectives of such networks usually depend on the type of the application and they are characterized mainly by the limited of the physical resources, the vulnerability of security and their high requirement in terms of quality of services (QoS). The FCNs are more and more used in sensitive areas such as medicine, multimedia and the monitoring of the environment where the processed information is very important. In this case, it's necessary to take into account the communication parameters. In fact, a good management of these parameters ensures reliable and efficient service.

In this workshop, researchers are encouraged to submit papers focused on the design, development, analysis or optimization of communication protocols and solutions for better performance of future communication networks in term of QoS and energy efficiency. This workshop targets to gather researchers from academia and industrial sectors to present analytical research, simulations, practical results, position papers addressing the pros and cons of specific proposals, and advances in communication protocols, QoS and energy efficiency in communication networks. The topics suggested by the workshop can be discussed in term of concepts, state of the art, standards, protocols, solutions, deployments, implementations, running experiments and applications.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

Algorithms and approaches oriented QoS and Energy for FCNs
Performance analysis and optimization of different QoS Solutions in FCNs.
Distributed computing solutions for QoS and Energy Efficient in FCNs
Frequency and Channel Allocation Algorithms for QoS in FCNs
Transport and routing techniques less using for QoS in FCNs
Energy Saving and Power Control Protocols designed and developed for FCNs.
Low-power Physique layer solutions in FCNs.
Experimental results and future standards for QoS in FCNs.
Efficient Energy oriented Services and Intelligent management of the QoS and energy in FCNs.
QoS extension techniques based on the exploitation of other resources of FCNs.
QoS Efficient Applications for FCNs.
