The Internet of Things for Educators and Learners - IoT-Education 2017 Session: http://www.icsoft.org/IoT-Education.aspx
Within the 12th International Conference on Software Technologies - ICSOFT 2017
24 - 26 July, 2017 - Madrid, Spain
The IEEE IoT Community defines the IoT as: “… a self-configuring and adaptive system consisting of networks of sensors and smart objects whose purpose is to interconnect “all” things, including every day and industrial objects, in such a way as to make them intelligent, programmable and more capable of interacting with humans’’. According to information technology researcher Gartner, there are more than 6.4 billion devices connected to the Internet excluding tablets, cellphones and computers. That number is projected to hit 20.8 billion devices by 2020, as everything from a coffee maker to a kid toy is hooked up. The aim of the “IoT-Education” session is to stimulate and promote international research and collaboration on using IoTs technologies in the field of education. “IoT-Education 2017” is open to contributions in range of topics including but not limited to:
- Current and future trends in applying IoTs in the field of education
- Security, privacy and trust in IoT
- IoT system design methodologies in the field of education
- Big data processing in IoT systems
- Educators and learners in the loop in IoT systems
- Standards for IoT applications
- Architectural Frameworks, patterns for IoTs applications
- Experiments, Assessments of applying IoTs in the field of education
- IoTs and Online learning, m-learning, u-learning
- Performance evaluation of IoTs
