ICWE 2018 will be held on June 5-8, 2018 in Caceres, Spain. The theme for year 2018 -- the 18th edition of the event -- is Enhancing the Web with Advanced Engineering. The conference will cover the different aspects of Web Engineering, including the design, creation, maintenance and usage of Web applications.
ICWE 2018 invites researchers and practitioners who are willing to share their works to send a paper to the different tracks that are still opened. These tracks are:
- Short and Vision papers.
- Web engineering in practice.
- Demos.
- Posters.
- PhD Symposium papers.
- Tutorials.
Below, you can find a brief description of each track, the important dates and the submission information.
SHORT AND VISION PAPERS
-----------------------
Short research papers present emerging research contributions, preliminary results, and/or ongoing research that include original concepts, but lack the completeness (e.g., validation, evaluation, implementation) of full research papers.
Vision papers are intended to generate debate on emerging issues that will impact Web engineering in the coming years. To this end, they can provide discussion, analysis, criticism, proposal, and/or original positions about relevant aspects of Web Engineering topics.
Track Chairs:
- Carlos Canal, University of Málaga, Spain
- Florian Daniel, Politecnico di Milano, Italy
To get more information on this track visit the webpage: http://icwe2018.webengineering.org/content/short-vision-research-papers.html
Or write an email to: shortpaperschair.icwe2018@webengineering.org
WEB ENGINEERING IN PRACTICE
---------------------------
Web Engineering in practice papers introduce innovative and insightful descriptions of real-world applications, case studies, trends in the market, industry applications, and experiences from the field. Moreover, the papers may also challenge the community to find solutions to new problems, thus stimulating discussion and collaboration.
Track Chairs:
Antero Taivalsaari, Nokia Research Center, Finland
Maja Vukovic, IBM Research

DEMOS
-----
Demo papers are intended to showcase innovative uses of already existing tools, totally new systems that demonstrate a novel idea, and/or practical approaches to real-life challenges.
Track Chairs:
- Piero Fraternali, Politecnico di Milano, Italy
- Qing Li, City University of Hong Kong, China

POSTERS
-------
Posters provide an opportunity to showcase and present late-breaking results, recent advances, or work in progress in an informal setting.
Track Chair:
- Juan Carlos Preciado, University of Extremadura, Spain
