ACM CarSys (Demo and Poster Papers) 2017

Computer Networks & Wireless Communication

--------------------------------------------------------------------
ACM CarSys 2017 - The Second ACM International Workshop on Connected
and Automated Vehicle Mobility
Snowbird, Utah, USA - October 16-20, 2017
https://web.fe.up.pt/~acmcarsys2017/
in conjunction with ACM MobiCom
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Overview
--------
ACM CarSys 2017 seeks to present innovative and significant research
on the design, implementation, usage, and evaluation of intelligent
vehicular computing, communication and control systems, applications,
and services. The key themes of this workshop are two-fold:
1. Connected Vehicles: Based on short- and medium-range communications
as well as on cellular networks, vehicular inter-networking will enable
vehicular applications that improve road safety, energy efficiency,
optimises traffic flow, as well as for infotainment purposes.
2. Autonomous Vehicles: As vehicles are equipped with more sensing and
computing capabilities, vehicles become more intelligent and are able
to drive in an automated way and interact with roads and pedestrians.
Areas of interest include, but are not limited to:
- full Automated/high-automated vehicles
- ADAS (Advanced Driving Assistant System)
- Information and sensor fusion
- Vehicle perception stack for automated control and safe driving
- Cooperative vehicle-infrastructure systems
- Telematics and infotainment services
- Vehicular IoT-Smart City infrastructure
- V2X (V2I/V2V/V2N) and vehicle-to-pedestrian/biker communication
- Cellular V2X and 5G opportunity (New Radio and mmWave)
- Wireless in-vehicle networks
- Vehicle communication protocol design and network management
- Vehicle to vulnerable road users communications
- Vehicle system architecture and design
- Intelligent vehicle software and computing infrastructure
- Security, privacy issues and protection mechanisms
- Test drives and field operational testing
Call for posters and demonstrators
----------------------------------
ACM CarSys 2017 invites poster papers presenting controversial
research directions or promising ideas not yet fully validated,
as well as demo papers showcasing prototypes.
Poster and demo papers must fit in two pages, and must adhere to
the format requirements for full papers in all other aspects.
Optionally, a poster paper submission can include a link to the
electronic copy of the poster. Authors of the demo papers are
strongly encouraged to include a link to a short video presenting
their prototype. Electronic copies of posters and demo videos
shall be hosted by a third-party cloud storage or streaming
service (e.g., Dropbox, Wetransfer, YouTube, Vimeo, etc.), so as
to ensure the anonymity of reviewers.
