Artificial Intelligence Operations Research Sustainable Energy Sustainable Development
Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to announce a call for papers for a special issue of Sustainability journal on the theme of Innovations for Sustainable Multimodality Transportation. This special issue aims to bring together innovative research, critical perspectives, and emerging insights that address the potential of multimodal transportation as an effective and sustainable solution for supply chains.
Scope and Themes
We invite submissions that explore, but are not limited to, the following areas:
Sustainability in multimodal transportation
Challenges in achieving modal shift
Reducing reliance on road transport
Carbon footprint reduction and optimization
Integration of transport modes under uncertainties
Submissions can include theoretical studies, empirical research, methodological innovations, case studies, and reviews. Interdisciplinary approaches and novel methodologies are particularly welcome.
Deadline for manuscript submissions: 16 November 2025
