Call for Papers: Psihoterapija/Psychotherapy Scopus-Indexed Scholarly and Professional Journal

Dear colleagues,

It is our pleasure to invite you to submit your papers for publication in the scholarly and professional journal Psihoterapija/Psychotherapy. This call applies to papers addressing areas within the journal’s general aim and scope, as well as to contributions focused on the special thematic focus of upcoming issues: attachment and mentalization, the presence of stigma, and the social unconscious. Psihoterapija is a journal of the Institute of Group Analysis, the Croatian Psychoanalytical Society, and the Croatian Society for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, and is published by Medicinska naklada (Zagreb, Croatia).

The journal Psihoterapija is a publication for psychodynamically oriented psychotherapists. Its objective is to report on the latest developments in the field of psychotherapy, present new perspectives and experiences across various psychotherapeutic modalities, and familiarize readers with current psychotherapeutic research. Through case studies, the journal offers insight into the psychotherapeutic process within specific techniques. Furthermore, the journal publishes reviews of professional literature, reports on psychotherapeutic gatherings both domestically and internationally, and reviews of selected cultural events—such as film productions, novels, and theatrical performances—viewed through a psychotherapeutic lens.

We invite submissions of original scientific papers, review articles, professional papers, case studies, and other contributions aligned with the journal's scope. All scientific and professional papers are subject to a double-blind peer review process by at least two reviewers.

In addition to topics related to the journal's general aim and scope, we invite you to submit papers on the special thematic focus of upcoming issues: attachment and mentalization, the presence of stigma, and the social unconscious. Should a paper not be included in a specific thematic focus, the Editorial Board may propose its publication in the general section of an issue.

The journal Psihoterapija is indexed in the scholarly journal databases Scopus, Embase/Excerpta Medica, and EBSCO, and is also accessible through numerous discovery and search platforms, including HrĨak, BASE, CORE, J-Gate, and others.

Papers are accepted in Croatian or English and are published either bilingually (Croatian and English) or in English only. Publication in Psihoterapija is free of charge for authors and does not involve any article processing or publication fees.

The submission deadline for the winter issue is 31 March, and for the summer issue, 15 October of the preceding year. Author guidelines and other relevant information are available on the Psihoterapija journal website.

For paper submissions and any additional questions or clarifications, we remain at your disposal via email at urednistvo.psihoterapija@gmail.com.

We look forward to your contributions and hope you recognize this call as an opportunity to exchange scientific and professional expertise within the broader psychotherapeutic community.

Sincerely,

Prof. Ljiljana Moro, MD, PhD, Editor-in-Chief of Psihoterapija, and Mario Pallua, MPhil, Assistant to the Editor-in-Chief
